I was going through my stash of discount coupons, etc and I found thirty ASC dollars that I got through a credit card. Now what? Maybe I can buy tons of ASC stock....

(I think we own a thousand shares that we bought at a dollar a piece).

If they have not gone beyond the expiration date , they will still be honored. I used 6 on NYE day.

Honored where?

I was at Killington. But according to a letter from my cc company they will be honored at any of the resorts on the rebate coupon , which I believe includes Pico , Mt. Snow , Sunday river , Sugarloaf , Attitash and The Canyons in Utah. But if you have ? on a particular resort I would call ahead.

That's cool. I don't have any, but a friend at work had the credit card coupons and he didn't think they would be honored.

Those look like vouchers from the ASC Edge card program you get from buying stuff with the ASC Edge Visa. Some people bought cars with it or paid for their kids tuition which yielded hundreds of dollars in those $10 vouchers which paid for entire ski vacations. I doubt they would be good at any resort now.

They're good at any of the former ASC resorts as long as they haven't expired. I used the rest of mine to buy my Killington season pass. Just contact the resort...

For the way Powdr has treated all other past deals that ASC had set-up that's pretty surprising. I guess kudos for them for doing so.

I seriously doubt they're losing anything by doing this. Since these are credit card rewards checks, I'm sure the credit card company just went to the Powdr and said "we want you to continue to accept these and we'll reimburse you for them."

Credit cards are BIG $$$$, and no bank is going to piss off their customers by letting a change in ownership of a ski mountain stand in the way of their customers cashing in their rewards. I'm sure someone from the credit card company contacted all the former ASC resorts and negotiated a deal to make sure none of the customers were left out in the cold.

Now, my question is, a friend of mine has an Attitash gift card she received 2 years ago as a gift. I'm curious as to whether Peak is honoring those or not.

Depends really. The old rewards where because the backers to the credit card, ASC, issued the certificates, not the credit card company itself. After the sale of ASC resorts, ASC discontinued the credit cards themselves, so the entire 'offering' was gone.

I tried to use my $10 credit card reward vouchers at Attitash in the Fall and I was told that they or any other former ASC resort is not honoring them. I will try again this weekend to see what happens.
