Starting to get the ball rolling for the annual guys weekend away. Usually take 3 (or just a weekend depeding on schedules) days and head north for Skiing and Grog! Did K-Mart last year, stayed at the Inn at Long Trail. Where to go?? SBush/MRG, Stowe, Whiteface...we are on Long Island so a place like Jay might be too far for a 2 or 3 dayer..all are upper immed to expert. Any advice on mtns, lodging all appreciated.

Go to SB/MRG and stay at the Golden Lion Inn; KingM is the man to speak to regarding reservations (he posts here regularly in the winter).

I love that INN did you like it? I recommend that place to anyone who will listen...best guiness draft in the whole area...and good Irish Stew to boot...

If you're not going on a holiday weekend then you have the luxury of waiting to see who has the best conditions. All of the places you mentioned are excellent. I'm not necessarily biased towards Whiteface - I just know it better than the others you mentioned. Whiteface is having a great year so far. But things can change. BTW,all of the areas you mentioned are better than K-mart. :lol:

Go to the INN every year (usually with the wife) Best deal in town, food is fantastic (Bfast/dinner)..and yes, the bar with Revels Glen playing sucking back Long Trails and Guiness...also best Nachos this side of Mexico
