May he rest in peace http://www.boston.com/Boston/metrod...5uJw93zjPP/index.html?comments=all#readerComm. Kind of unbelievable as Jay usually has the most snow and I was planning on going there, but I didn't end up going (like most of my plans so far this season).
What is unbelievable about a death happening at one of the northeast's snowiest mountains? What connection are you suggesting? If anything, Jay is known not only for its powder but also its icy groomed runs. But again, I don't see much connection as the accident appeared after the steep part of Can Am. It seems like a freak accident, which could and does happen any where and everywhere.

FWIW, I was at Jay Peak on Friday, and the conditions were really fantastic, and far better than what I would have expected.

Why is this in the trip report section?

FWIW, I was at Jay Peak on Friday, and the conditions were really fantastic, and far better than what I would have expected.

We're looking forward to your trip report! I've heard the trees are in good shape.
