anyone ever ride a Chondola?

It looks like the private Haystack Club is going to install a chondola, a combined Gondola/chair lift at the former Haystack mountain in Wilmington, VT Anyone here ever ride one of these? How does it work, are there separate chairs and gondola cars? Here's a story on the progress at Haystack . I drove by last weekend and they were in the process of building a new fancy gatehouse at the entrance.

The one in Quebec has two loading/unloading stations, every third unit is a gondola, in the middle are regular chairs. Ride what you want....

I think you re speaking of the Main summit lift at Mount Orford which I rode in January 2004 which I think was it's first season of operation?

It came in handy to be in a gondola that day with nearly -30F still air temperatures.
