Anyone have a clue as to what time the Avon box office opens tonight? I'll be damned if I'm paying a "convenience" charge with Ticketmaster.

Box office opens at 5:30pm. I will be at the 9pm show and I'll be dragging the gf along to the 9pm show tonight for a second set of tickets.

Got there late thanks to work, traffic, and downpour obligations, right before 6 when it was sold out. Hung around long enough in the lobby that I was able to get one of the straggler tickets (or a replacement for the folks who got their freebies and high-tailed it to the bar).

Not the best effort...again. The Okemo bit was excruciating. Though I found the Chris Anthony portion pretty cool, and the Silverton stuff was done nicely.

Five free lift tickets made it a whole lot better.

I was at the 9 PM show too...thought it was pretty good...the Okemo piece was a bit weak but they did not over hype the mountain as a tree skiing mecca...Steamboat, Silverton and Anthony segment were all good...two segments involved skiing using a boat as part of the transportation...might make for a good thread...What's your favorite boat for skiing?

Last night

Got shut out at the box office for the 6:00 show and was able to get 2 of the last 4 tickets for the 9:00. We only go for the "swag". It seems to me that if you've seen one of the recent WM films, you've seen them all. On the other hand, we've made some decent change with the lift ticket deals. Paid for a lot of gas and room charges with them.

Warren's flicks are turning into an annual ritual for us at the Bushnell Theater (Hartford, CT). Good night out!

I am seeing ads for WM's latest movie, and Vermonter's get a limited ticket to Stratton and Smuggs, which is tempting. I have been less than impressed with the last WM product placement ads..er..I mean films.

Thoughts? Anyone seen it?

Going to summerville. Little bit more gas, but with me and the two kids, 3 additional lift tickets to stratton pays for the gas easily. The summerville show includes tickets to everything the portsmouth show AND the vermont shows offer.

Since Warren Miller hasn't had anything to do with them for years I wish they stopped using his name.

I hadn't thought of that, but I agree. My GF actually had this brief conversation..

Me: "So, you want to go to the miller film with me and the kids?"
Steph: "That'd be awesome! I love Warren Miller! His voice is sexah hawt for an ancient guy!"
Me: "Umm, you DO know he hasn't done a movie in a few years, it's his son now.."
Steph: "Oh.. NM then, have fun.."

It's actually alot more complicated than that and would make a darn good soap opera. Last I heard is that Time Warner bought out Warren Miller's son as he was causing alot of problems. This was a couple of years ago so I don't know where things are currently.

I went to one, can't remember the name, a few years ago and they they dubbed in that "sexy voice" but it was obvious to everyone it was a cut and paste job from previous Warren Miller movies. That's the last time I have seen one. I remember Riv getting pissed about that too.

I do see them on RSN TV once in awhile which we get here in the MRV. Fun stuff, no question.

There have been abunch of threads here about the Warren Miller films. Don't have the time to check them all out but here is one I found. I love the fact that Eric Freidman, the main dude at MRG chimed in on this one. I don't see or talk to Eric very often but he's a totally groovy guy.
