Yes, they are twice the price. My GF just got some this week (foot problems). Online research shows mostly positive feedback but I was wondering if any forum members have personal experience with them.

I'm very curious to see if they help with her feet.

My wife had a pair in the past, got them about 15yrs ago up at The Basin at Killington. She has a short, wide, tall foot that was very difficult to fit back then. The strolz she got made a BIG difference for her in comfort and also at that time performance as they were her 1st pair of high performance boots.

Since then she's subsequently had a pair of technicas she bought at the Surefoot in Killington and just this past March a pair of Atomic Hawx's she got at a woman's specific ski shop in Vail.

The bottom line is that for a challenging shaped foot that the fully custom strolz are great! Also that with the major advances in boot fitting and out of the box custom adjustability that many manufacturers are building into their modern boots to aid boot fitters today that my hunch is that a truly fully custom boot like strolz are may not be available that much longer :(

In my girl's case the feet are small and her heel will not be held down. Then, she cranks the buckles and the pain kills her. Most regular shoes hurt too. If this solves the problem skiing it will be worth every penny.

It makes sense that Strolz will take a hit as the mainstream companies improve fitting. Maybe they will take it to the next level somehow, like luxury cars are forced to.
