April 2025 - Sunday River - Igloo & World Record Shot Ski attempt with Donny Pelletier & Jonny Moseley + Cannon Mountain & New England Ski Museum

Resort or Ski Area
Sunday River
Date
Apr 6, 2025
Snow Conditions
  1. Powder
  2. Packed Powder
  3. Slush or Spring Snow
  4. Cord
  5. Sticky
  6. Chopped or Crud
When I saw this I knew I had to be part of the attempt, always wanted to be a world record holder LOL

For years, the shot-ski record has bounced back and forth between Breckenridge and Park City, but a week ago a new record of 1460 people simultaneously drinking a shot mounted on a ski was set at Mont-Ordford in Quebec. Powder magazine has a great summary of the history:

Fantastic report as usual, thanks for sharing! It looks like you had a much better experience at Sunday River than we did a few weekends ago.

Great report! Leave it to Sunday River to brag about something based on a technicality 😉

Sugarloaf should try for the record this weekend during Reggae fest. Only use a 30% taller / bigger shot glass and put a line lower on the glass for the Sunday River size shot glass. A riff off the old sign they had on the Chair lift tower stating, "If you were at Sunday River, You'd be at the top right now."
