During the spring/summer, I am very happy to live here on Long Island...I can sail, windsurf, surf...during the fall/winter i really wish i could be up north or west to take advantage of the mountain hiking/skiing (its a haul to the mountains from here) ...espically hurts when you see a forecast like this:
The focus in the West tomorrow will be on Colorado as there appear to be the ingredients for a full-fledged blizzard coming together over the southeast portion of the state.
A blizzard watch is in effect for areas south and southeast of Denver (including Colorado Springs and Pueblo), while Denver itself is under a winter storm watch.
Much of the eastern portion of the state can expect to be whacked by heavy snow (or rain changing to snow) and howling winds.
In some locations, massive snow drifts could make roads impassable. Travel, especially along I-25 south of Denver, could come to a stop. Travelers and residents alike are urged to stay apprised of this developing storm.
Elsewhere in the West, a few showers are likely in western Washington; and Santa Ana winds are expected to whip over portions of Southern California.
