Assos Element Zero Vest

BK.jpg

The Assos Element Zero Vest is built with their AEPD II cut, meaning you'll feel an absence of excess material on your back, armpits, and chest when you're in your riding position. Given most vests' nasty habit of flapping flag-like in the wind, you'll be delighted with the Element Zero's anatomic contouring. The beauty of its closeness is that, despite the fact it carries less volume, it won't compromise your freedom of movement. An added plus to the Element Zero is that it has Airblock 799 4-way stretch fabric to better conform to the movements of your body. Yes, AEPD II-designed clothing pulls a bit when you're not on your bike, but that's normal because it's made with your riding position foremost in mind.
Another new development on the Element Zero is the new Assos X-Zero water-repellent, breathable material on the sidepanels, upper back and lower back. These are places where wind-resistance isn't needed (so there's no need for Airblock there), but moisture-resistance is key. On misty or drizzly days, X-Zero is a small but nice detail that helps keep your core temperature in check.
One other delightful touch on the Element Zero is the new variable length back section. It has "flip-up" construction so you can extend a flap over your rear-end to protect your bib shorts from water and mud flying up off the rear wheel. On warmer days, or during times when you'd like to wear the Element Zero off the bike, you can retract and hide the flap.
The Assos Element Zero Vest is ideal in combination with an Intermediate Evo Jersey and will keep you nicely warm down to the low 40's. It's available in Blue, Red, and Yellow and comes in seven sizes ranging from X-Small to TIR.
