I'm looking to get ms root a beginner snowboard setup, but I'm a little out of my depth here. She's taken exactly 1 lesson and loved it.
The game plan is to get her some gear that she can use to progress on (and take more lessons). We're not big fans of daily rentals. She wants to spend more time on the snow with me, but since her accident a few years ago, she finds the skiing wears her out quicker. Looking for mostly "All mountain" or "freeride" boards. She's not interested in the park at all. The ideal setup would be something to last a year or two. Boards are tricky, because she also has to like the top sheet design.
Here's what I dug up.
Boots - I'm can to play the free shipping, free return game with REI for a while.
Board - http://www.rei.com/p...ard-womens-0910 or http://www.rei.com/p...womens-20102011
Bindings - http://www.rei.com/p...omens-20102011?
I'm open to suggestions if someone has better options.
