For me living in NYC for several years I have a few I could put. In the Bronx were I lived the local neighborhood pizza at Three Boys From Italy on corner of Burke Ave. and White Plains Road( subway train .#2 ) always made delicious huge slices I miss that place. In NYC were I work I have to say Bleeker st. Pizza is pretty great. And for I live now in Middletown NY definitely Colanera's pizza King which is loved by so many it survived which the strip mall it was in for 10 years had all other stores closed. Cant wait to read responses of others.

Joking I assume, but it is edible, and $5 for a large pepperoni is a hell of a deal!

In southern Maine I would say Ricetta's is probably my favorite. Honorable mentions for Flatbread Company, and Pat's Pizza for classic inexpensive pizza shop pie. I regret to say that I have yet to try Otto, which is supposed to best the best around, and there are several other relatively new gourmet pizza options in and around Portland that I haven't had a chance to try. Hard to get out as much these days with a 3 year old at home!

Somerville/Cambridge line area: Dial-A-Pizza- $5 cheese carryout. Get it while it's hot, and it's awesome. We used to live 4 blocks away, and would call in the order, walk to get it, and eat half the pie on the walk home.

Boston North End: Il Panino Express used to be awesome- another place my wife and I would go and scarf down a whole pie in no time. Apparently it's closed now, though. Too bad.

Brooklyn: Sam's on Court St. No frills, with a free side of attitude with every purchase. As long as you want what they got, you're fine. Great Brooklyn-style pies.

Yeah, sadly, we eat more of it than I'd like to admit because of how cheap it is.

Our go-to for real pizza has been a place called Vinny's, which is near-by and delivers. Pizza Palace is good too, they're Greek and the crust is thick and doughy, so some of you NYer's probably wouldn't recognize it as real pizza...

All the places that have really good pizza are either a 30 minute+ drive away, or have closed.

In the midcoast area, Flipside in Brunswick is the bees knees. (Albeit a little pricey) everything is local and their crust is thin and delicious. Toppings can get pretty cool (bacon and jalapeño in ancho chile bbq sauce)

The Cabin in Bath is quite good for the area.

Riverskier, you need to go to Otto. In Portland it is probably the best. Again, expensive but well worth it. The loaded baked potato pizza there is orgasmic. Seriously life changing.

+1 in Middletown Boda Bing ( not related to Tony Soprano xxx club Rip)
On Tuesday what ever time you call it in it is charged so we get
2 pies at 600pm for $12 and it was good pizza.

As someone born in New Bedford, MA, pizza needs to have linguica on it. I prefer my linguica ground like a sausage pizza rather than sliced pepperoni pizza-style. The region is pretty much pizza hell. The best of the lot is a place called Brick on Union Street in downtown New Bedford. Wood fired brick oven. Crispy shell. Flavorful red sauce. Meh mozzarella but it's New Bedford so you're going to get plastic cheese. By Boston North End standards, it's barely average.

Around Killington, I like Ramunto's in Bridgewater the best. I hit it occasionally after the Long Trail Brewery has last call at 7pm. Lots of interesting by-the-slice selections and an enormous draft beer selection at the bar. Dominic's is the best of the lot on the Access Road. ...but it ain't exactly cheap.

In Binghamton, my favorite is Cortese. Their pies are small, rectangular, eight slice. The crust is great, the corner pieces are the best. NY Pizzeria, formerly NY Chefs, has pretty good NY style pie. Lots of varieties, I like their Buffalo chicken wing. They use actual de-boned hot wings, skin and all. Sometimes you get some bonus gristle, good dipped in blue cheese dressing, yum.

Two Boots is different but also good, they name their slices after classic movies and movie characters. They have several spots in NYC and usually a both at vibes festival.

Pizza my wife makes. Turkish bread, throws on some mozarrela, marinara, basil, and whatever else strikes her fancy. Throws it' in the oven for 15 min, great stuff!

Zero decent pizza in my town. We've got three conveyor belt crapola joints that I've all but given up on. I'm convinced one decent pizza place, even if it's a tad expensive for the college / lower income town I live in, could come in and put them all out of business.

I have a stone and paddle and just make my own with homemade sauce and store bought dough that' pretty good, though not great. I don't think a 550 degree home oven is hot enough to really cook a good pie proper. I like a thinish crust that's got a good crunchy bite with a touch of char, yet light and flaky in the middle. You really need a wood or coal fire hearth that's 800+ degrees to do it right.

I feel lucky to live in the NJ/NY area with the best Pizza in the world. (supposedly its the water) My vote goes to M & S II on Route 46 in Rockaway. They are outstanding and while all pies are good, the Buffalo Chicken Pie is the best I've ever had.

Speaking of pizza, was down at the shore not too long ago where they make some truly huge pies. Contest for free pizza if one could eat a whole pie in less then 11 minutes. Sound easy? Oh yeah forgot to mention the pie is 28" in diameter.

To many good pizza joints in Brooklyn to mention. My favorite place however just happens to be the one closest to my house (Original Pizza). They make a pie with fresh crushed tomato's, fresh mozzarella, sprinkled with romano cheese & fresh basil. Simple but it's delicious. Of course they have a large selection of all kinds of other pies but this one is my favorite.

Bianchis on Revere beach is nowhere near me but if I'm in the area I make a point to get there, it's that good. Regina is also pretty damn good.
East coast pizza rocks. Tahoe is extrememly depressing, There has to be 15 pizza shops in south lake and I order dominoes mostly. Philpug showed me a great place near Reno, good stuff. They know its good and charge accordingly.

I also really like Hot Tomato in Fruita, Co but I'm usually so hungry when I walk through the doors

Yep, this is my favorite style pizza, simple and good. I can only imagine the selection of quality pizza you have to choose from, in my case ( i love pizza so much) this would not be a good thing lol

Ernesto's in the North End (Boston). Total hole in the wall, feel like you'll catch a disease walking in, but they make a damn good pizza.

In Albany....my homemade stuff I guess.

Pepe's in New Haven.

I grew up in Western Mass...that's not real pizza. Brownies have inside pieces; pizza doesn't. Also, hamburger on pizza?
