agreed.

But.... As a Jet fan, I'd trade 3 SB wins for 1 bone-headed coaching decision.

Brutal. Glad I stayed up late for that craptastic finish.

Yes, I'm aware of the success he's had. He's still a moron for making that call last night.

Not a Colts or a Patriots fan but to be fair hindsight is 20/20. The play was completed, it was the receivers screwup as he should have know where he was supposed to be to catch the pass beyond the first down marker.

You punt the ball and the Colts march back from deep in their own territory to win the game, no one questions the call. 4th and 2 at your own 28 with 2 minutes to go, you punt. It really is an indefensible decision.

Hey as a Jet fan you can have the bone-headed coaching decisions without the SB wins. At least Sanchez can play the rest of the season without the pressure. Garrard was made to look like Payton Manning. Where was that Raven D on the last drive.

Far from, he knew that if Manning got the ball with 2 minutes to go and good field position (they would have punted from about the goal line and Indy probably would have ended up around mid-field) he would get in the end zone. The defense was banged up, Tully Banta-Cain who is their best pass rusher was hurt and that allowed Manning to take all the time he wanted in the pocket. So Manning was able to take his time and pick apart the defense. It was far from a dumb move and if anything he had his back against the wall.

And forget Bill, how about Brady getting picked off in the end zone and Maroney fumbling in the end zone? So instead of a two touchdown cushion they could have had a 38-10 lead at one point.

It was a high-risk high-reward play call.

And it wasn't about the colts at all... they will be 1st in the AFC at the end of the regular season regardless of how that game went last night.

It was about keeping pace with the Bengals for 2nd place in the AFC. It didn't work out, and likely means that the Pats will have to play a game on wild card weekend. If they punted, Peyton would have likely lead them down the field to the same result (He was 7 for 9 with a TD and an INT in the fourth quarter leading up to that, they also had a rushing TD).

I'm fine with the decision.

Your second point is right on there. That pick and fumble cost them the game. You knew that with two minutes left Manning was going to march down the field and have a good chance of scoring no matter where he started from....(I'm a Pats fan).

I'll take making Peyton go 70-80 yards over 29 any day of the week.

If it had worked we'd all be calling him a genius today. I'm disappointed, but they did show that at least they have the ability to beat the Colts. There were a couple of bad calls and 2 goal line screw ups (fumble/interception) where if they had completed these none of this would have mattered.

It would have been more like 50 yards.

excuse me? The ball was on the 28. Your saying Hanson only punts to mid field? um no

At best the Colts start at their own 40, still a lot better position to be in than having them start at your own 29.
