How do they justify $5000 co-op buy-in price which is more than twice Mad River Glens cost of $2000 ?
I wonder how the household net worth of the MWV vs MRV shakes out? Population numbers? Also, I presume far more snow would be made at Black vs MRG?

It’s not the price per share but the number of shares sold that counts, market Cap.

From the perspective of the mountain and for a stock traded on the open market like Vail I agree with you. But from purchasers perspective with a coop, I would venture 90% of purchasers are going to buy a single share whether it is $2000 or $5000 and they don’t care much about what % of the ski area their one share represents. Asking more than twice MRG (the gold standard of ski coops with a long track history of successful operation) is going to deter a lot of potential buyers IMO.
