Skied near a guy at Plattekill last Sunday...Carharts and a Bobcat hat....and a damned good mogul skier at that.
I'm pretty sure that Wood Core and I skied there on Bobcat's final weekend of operation... in March 2005. Here's my short TR:

A while back, someone said that if a NYS ski area doesn't officially operate a lift for more than two years, it's considered DOA/condemned -- i.e. they'd need to put up a new one.
I've successfully avoided thinking about Bobcat all season. Now you've ruined my afternoon.

That would be Steve. He was probably new straight boards with tryolia bindings. He sure can ski.
On my way to Plattekill on Sunday, I'm threatening to boot it up Bobcat and do a run down "Courage" or the glade trail.

No clue as to conditions... although even when the hill was open, it was anyone's guess.
By whom? The cows?
Eh, I'm hearing that the recent storm ended with a decent amount of NCP, so probably not the best time to go.
