Bring It!

I agree!

We have had nearly three months of 95+ and 100+ degrees temps. Today we hit a high temp of 78 degrees. I can smell snow in the air. OK, I am prone to fantasies. BTW, I am talking about the Salt Lake City region not New England. The weather guys are talking about temps near freezing at altitude tonight.

I just have to get out to the ski sales and find a pair of "powder boards."

From http://www.mattnoyes.net/new_england_weather:

"For some areas of Central New England, dawn Wednesday may end up being the warmest part of the day as winds shifting to the west will carry much cooler, autumn air across the border from Canada, across the Great Lakes, and into New England. This air has a history of producing high temperatures only in the 50s on Monday in the Upper Great Lakes, though it's unlikely to find a day that cool for most of New England, as our lingering mild air from early morning will take a little while to replace. Nonetheless, winds will gust over 40 mph in Northern New England and the air a few thousand feet above our heads will be cold enough for big bubbling cumulus clouds to form, dropping scattered showers and perhaps even a shallow thunderstorm with hailstones in the North Country. Above 5000 feet, enough cold air may be in place for some snow showers on the mountain summits Wednesday afternoon and evening!"

Whatever... I made the mistake of getting excited in September last year. This year I am playing it cool, like skiing as a sport doesn't even exist until second week of November.

I do welcome the cool weather though - tired of the summer heat.
