broken wrist

i never realized how much these sucked until yesterday when i broke it in my backyard. i have a tiny bit of snow left in the yard and ive been using it for my pvc rails. anyway i fell, put my hands out and crack goes the wrist. out comes the bone and here i am in the hospital awaiting surgery doped up on morphine. not really gonna say much more. hard to gather my thoughts.im scared about surgery tonight but wish me luck. peace

Ouch... good luck man... Cooley-Dick I'm guessing? Had to bring some friends there for different things when I was out at UMASS.

At least if it keeps you off skis, you won't miss much of the season.

i broke the same wrist twice in about 5 yrs time , but i was lucky one required and i skied with it just a cast the second was hairline so no cast

Mrs Glenn is a certified hand therapist. The best thing you can do is find a good therapist, listen to what they say, go regularly and do your exercises. There's a big difference in healing/gaining function between people who put in the effort and people who don't. Good luck! Keep your chin up, you'll get there.

Seriously, bummer dude! Like Glen said, do your PT after the operation. I'm doing PT now for my shoulder. I thought I was all healed up and doing well, until I went to PT and saw how much my range of motion was dimished after the break. Hurts so good!!
