As Fred Pabst would say, " A blue ribbon day."

The sun was out, the sky was blue and the snow fast. The snow conditions were excellent considering there is no natural snow. The trail were machined groomed man made snow. The wasn't a ice patch to be seen, which is amazing when you think of the recent weather we had.

The mountain was open from top to bottom, skiing on 7 trails on the west side. It will take some time for the east side to open.

The only bad thing was the mountain was empty, which was good for me but not the mountain. At times I was the only one skiing.

Sounds like a great day. I wish Bromley got more visitors in general. They do OK mid season it seems. But now must be tough for them especially when Stratton next door has probably 4-5x as much open terrain.

Bromley is a better mountain, though. The trails like Havoc, Pabst Peril, and Avalanche are a fun bunch of diamond runs. Nice terrain throughout the mountain.

They do lose people to Stratton. But on the weekends Stratton is a zoo. You get more ski time at Bromley on any weekend and as you said the east side has some good advanced trails that are as good as Strattons.

I love Bromley and can't wait to get there this year. The advanced terrain is definitely more interesting and challenging than the "double-black" I skied at Stratton last week.

Nice TR. My wife and I are hoping to head up there at least once this year. We always enjoy skiing there.
