Bummin Day 1

So, with moving back to the flat lands, having no health insurance and also no money, car etc, etc, etc. I have finally gotten day one....if it counts, let the poll decide. I really miss instructing.

Day One Trip Report:

Going up and down my block in Bellmore, NY on my teleskis for a half hour in the middle of the night.

Conditions: Sheet of Ice, Ice Glazed Powder, Icy Crud. Some but minimal bare asphalt patches.

Trails Skied: Kayron Lane, Joel Court

I wouldn't have risked my bottoms on that paltry 1/2" we got in Merrick yesterday...

if it was snow I wouldn't have risked it, but the bullet proof ice protected my bases.
