EAST BURKE, Vermont — Burke announced today that it will host the first annual Umbrellafest Charity Concert at the Sherburne Base Lodge at Burke Mountain Ski area on August 6th featuring Toubab Krewe.
Sponsored by the WNCS The Point, Burke Mountain, Emerson Falls Play Care, and Jay Abramson, Esq., Toubab Krewe will perform outside Burke Mountain's Sherburne Base Lodge starting at 7:00 pm. A Barbeque and family activities will begin at 2:30pm followed by opening acts from Val Davis & Lucy Vincent at 5:00pm. Advanced tickets are available by calling Catamount Arts, 802-748-2600 and will also be available at the door. $10 Adults (15+), $5 Children (14 & under) or $25 Family
Proceeds from the show will benefit Umbrella, a private, non profit organization serving Caledonia and Southern Essex Counties. Umbrella is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering communities of strong women, supported families and safe homes.
Toubab Krewe blends Milian, American, and dirty south influences into a genre all their own, setting a new standard for the fusion of rock n' roll and West African music.
