Don't these people have anything better to do???:dunce:
Poor camel.
CONWAY, N.H. (AP) -- Hikers and bikers have scaled Mount Washington, the Northeast's highest mountain. Now, it's a camel's turn.
The Sahara it's not, but Josh, a dromedary from Lempster, N.H., is attempting to walk the 7.6 mile journey on the mountain's auto road to the summit, escorted by his owner and two companion horses.
He started his trek at about 3 a.m. Wednesday. It was cloudy and rainy, but auto road marketing director Ryan Triffitt said Josh is pretty hardy.
The plan is to give Josh a head start over vehicular traffic allowed on the road starting at 7:30 a.m. Assuming Josh makes it to the top, he'll stay there during the day to pose for photos, WMWV-FM reported.
