Does anybody know if it is really true that Camelback is accepting seasons passes from other ski areas for the remainder of the season?? That is what it sounds like from the Snow Condition report 1-800-233-8100.

I will be there Saturday (and probably Sunday too.). You'll most likely find me on the bumps on Lower Cleo from about 11 on. Depending on the weather I'll be wearing a black Camelback Sweatshirt with a big old style Camelback Logo on the back. (the skier on the Camels back) Saturday is the season pass holders party. After the party (should end approximately 4:30 ish) I expect most of us will go to the bar which should be rockin. If you see me say stop me and say hi.

I assume this means the bumps on Lower Cleo are holding up well as of right now and you anticipate them being good for the foreseeable future? Good to know!

Jay:

I'm assuming they are there too. I was not at Camelback this past weekend as I took a trip to New Hampshire. The bumps were there and quite good on Wednesday the 18th. My wife was at the mountain this past weekend and didn't say anything. I would think she would have told me if the bumps were gone.

They are. I've reluctantly been forced to ski them seeing how they are the only thing on the hill that resembles a bump line. Now weather we make it to April.....that is another story for another day. This weekend will be nice.See you slackers there.I'll be there Friday,Saturday and Sunday.

Not the few times I've been there this year. Maybe Alex knows?

In years past, the lines on the steeper trails blow because of all the wahoos who try to ski them. Very spread apart and not very rhythmic.

The Lower Cleo is v. flat. But its the only spot with bumps, so I take what I can get. Lap it just to keep the legs in shape for other mts. with more legit bumps. Luckily you can tuck it almost all the way back to the high speed quad from the end of the bumps.

Anyone know if Lower Cleo has lights? I would imagine it does...

Lower Cleo has lights. I don't know if they are open at night anymore. The Asp had great moguls on it earlier this year. Rocket had great moguls the last 2 years. They smashed Asp just before Pres Day. Its been a sore spot with me (and others I know) that they were not put back. To be fair to the mountain, the weather hasn't been too cooperative this March. In past years we've usually had some good late season bumping but we've usually had some good natural snow as well. (ex: 17" St Pattys Day 2007) I know they were counting on that but as we've seen this year it hasn't happened. They're really trying to make it to April.

Today's trail report has Lower Cleopatra as closed! Oh no! Hope its open tomorrow.....

Well now seeing it's been 18 at night up here.......I'm sure patrol closed it due to "firmness".... It'll open the end of the week. There was still plenty of snow on it.

I skied Camelback for the 1st time on Tuesday 3/24. There is still a deep base on almost all trails. The bottom base area still has a good machine made base. 4 trails were roped off and closed. Lower Cleo was 1 of them - It had bumps and a deep base. The only reason the 4 trails were closed is because they plan on preserving the base for this Saturday 3/28. Camelback plans on having 100% - All Trails Open Sat. Plus I think they are open til 9PM on Sat. I am going to try ro get back to Camelback on Friday as my mountain Greek Peak in central NY plans on re-opening on Sat.
