Date skied 1/6/06
Resort skied Cannon, NH
Conditions Packed Powder w/ light snow falling. Very foggy
Trip Report Got to the hill to see light snow falling . Snow report said 3-4 new yesterday with another inch overnight.
The new snow had settled to be about 2 inches of fluff on the ungroomed surfaces.
Frist run took me down Ravine T2B. It was ungroomed up top but pretty well skied. I had busted out the Pocket Rockets in hopes of finding some deeper fresh but it just wasnt to be. Lots of irregular sized bumps with the occasional rock lurking just below the surface. Some nice lines were still to be found though . http://forums.alpinezone.com/module...ame=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php

Good snow all day but visibility sucked. At times I couldnt see two chair ahead of me. When dismounting the Cannonball chair you literally couldnt see the Tram building http://forums.alpinezone.com/module...ame=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php
My favorites for the day were Gary's which was groomed with nice loose snow on the sides that made for dreamy turns. But the best trail of the day was...dont laugh...Parkway, which is a beginner trail  . Actually they had left it ungroomed with a couple inches of untouched fluff all across it. For whatever reason, everyone seemed to be missing this. Everyone but me 8) . I cut that trail up run after run and never saw any tracks on it but mine. I just cranked out some nice fluid powder tuns in neat rows.
Called it a day about 3 and I anticipate some serious pain the next couple of days. Light snow fell all day but only accumulated to an inch or so.
No talk of Bode at the Lift Pub. You'd think he would get lots of support there
