Copper Mountain Expansion?

I know this forum is mostly the east coast but I also know that few people on here live out in Colorado.

A few years ago, rumor had it that Copper was going to put a new lift in on the backside. This article says it would happen "this summer" http://ski.curbed.com/archives/2015/01/copper-plans-new-lift-for-tucker-mountain-this-summer.php

Anyone know if this is still on?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately not. I had just missed the last cat of the day in april this year, and there were a bunch of ski patrol congregated there since they were about to sweep, and I asked them and they said there were some new issues with the forest service..... On the bright side, the pow will last longer since you still gotta work a little bit for it.
