Trails(s) Hiked: Davis Path

Total Distance: 5 miles; 2,122 feet elevation gain

Difficulty: moderate (especially on a hot day)

Conditions: humid, hot, trail in good shape, a couple of easily negotiated blowdowns

Special Required Equipment: water sunglasses, suncreen

Trip Report: So hot even the bugs stayed away. I had a bigger trip planned for Saturday so this was the warm up hike to a peak I had never been to before on a section of trail I had never hiked on before. It's been a while but I would say this is about as hard as some of the easier 4,000 footers. Different views of the Southern Presidentials, maybe the best view & the local peaks, Resolution & Giant Stairs look pretty rugged for shorter peaks.
