De Marchi Thermal Women's Tights
De Marchi created the Thermal Women's Tights using a blend of supportive, comfortable, and lightly insulated materials for chilly late-season rides. The tights were made specifically for a woman's body while in the cycling position, which means that you stay protected from the elements without ever experiencing any bunching or friction. After all, the more comfortable you are in the saddle, the longer you'll want to stay out there and ride.
The Thermal tights were constructed using panels of Super Roubaix fabric. This is a supple, four-way stretch knit material with a lofted fleece backing. De Marchi developed this fabric to be light and flexible, and also to ensure that your body remains insulated and protected from the elements. The Super Roubaix fabric is a nylon and Lycra blend, which, in addition to providing a lightly compressive hold on your leg muscles, also works to wick moisture away from your skin.
De Marchi placed an equal focus on implementing technical fabrics into the tights as it did refining their women's-specific fit. The goal was to create a pair of tights with the perfect combination of freedom of movement, stability, and light insulation. This contoured fit was made possible using pre-shaped fabric panels that closely follow the female body while in motion. When sewn together, these panels form somewhat of a three dimensional shape on their own, mimicking the body before even reaching your skin. The result is a pair of tights that eliminate all unnecessary material, leading to the best fit possible.
De Marchi paired its EIT HP-C insert into the tights. Built as a women's-specific long distance road chamois, the HP-C incorporates flexible side wings and a high-density foam central channel to absorb vibration and keep you feeling good. Bacteria-static carbon filaments in the chamois inhibit microbial growth as well. But the crowning feature of the EIT HP-C chamois is its streamlined construction that reduces compression in sensitive areas.
