What happens if the roads are closed for avi control? Do you forfeit your $25 if you want to go somewhere else?
We left LLC early one time a few years ago before 5 feet of snow was set to arrive. The mountain ended up closing down for 3 straight days because of that storm. I had to eat 2 nights at the Cliff as there are no refunds for weather that closes the whole resort down. Lucky I had insurance.

Sounds like Snowbird.

Was that the snowstorm 2 years ago?

Yes it was Snowbird right before New Years Eve. It was the year pretty much every Cottonwood Canyons ski resort got record snow fall. Even Park City and Deer Valley had record snow fall that year so I guess that was 2 or 3 years ago.

To the Cliff's credit, they wouldn't refund my money for the 2 days we missed leaving early, but they were very helpful with all the info I needed to submit the insurance claim.
