We bought a new dell laptop in july and the second power supply just failed. The first one failed within 30 days of delivery. Both times they have shipped a free replacement the next business day but it is really getting annoying. Also I have to talk to some guy in india for an hour to get the replacement.

Anybody else had this problem? Any ideas?

Even though they do ship it next day it sucks, in this case i found out it was broken friday afternoon and they are shipping monday. Im thankful there is nothing i need on the computer this weekend.

In most cases there are replacement ones that you can get at Staples or Best Buy, but they cost like $70, and there is no guarentee that they will actually work. I own a Dell Laptop and haven't had any problems with (knock on wood), but it would be nice if they would move their tech support service back to the US or even an english speaking country.

We had problems from the start with our Dell Inspiron. Ended up shipping it back to them, on them, because the tech support guy in India wouldn't listen when we told him the problem was hardware not software. Good luck!!!
