wa-loaf,
Hoffman (Greg) now has his shop in Vail.
$.01
yea, he's a surgeon and doesn't have much free time so he wants to find something closer to town,
Is that the way he thinks consumers ought to select their surgeons?
Dunno specifically in the Denver area...but I'd suggest he consider buying from a Christie's or another shop that has a metro location and a location at whatever resort he plans to hit most often. Its always better to buy your boots closest to where you're going to use them. a boot that feels okay in Denver could turn to crap with another 4K+ vertical feet in elevation and the stress on the hill...better to take a day of ski in, ski out to get it dialed rahter than waste a whole day up in the mtns cause the city boot isn't working. TrTaylor's point is very valid and shouldn't be blown off as just sarcasim.
Problem is my friend is still in boots he bought in 1994. I'm trying to convince him he needs to take this as seriously as his work and spend some quality time with a boot fitter.
TrTaylor nicely PM'd me some info on a guy near Denver, so hopefully my buddy will take my advice.
ask him if he'd still use the same scalpel today that he was using in 94...or not bother updating any the medical research he referrs to in the lat 13 years.
