Diadora X Trail 2 Shoes - Men's

ANT.jpg

When Diadora built the X Trail 2 Shoes, it factored only the most important elements into its design. By not adding anything you wouldn't use anyway, the designers created a purposeful shoe that works exactly as it was intended: to comfortably support and protect your feet for all-day riding. Diadora built the shoes around its top-end last using lightweight breathable upper materials. It then mated this to an ultra-stiff composite outsole and threw in a closure system that lets you dial in the perfect fit. In doing so, Diadora created a durable and affordable package that blends the most important qualities we look for into a single pair of shoes.
Diadora built the X Trail 2 Shoes around its Race Shape last. This last shape forms precisely to your foot, combining just the right amount of arch support with forefoot and midfoot hold. Additionally, this design lends itself to securing heel retention as well. This comfortable cradle on the foot is achieved using Diadora's Suprell-Tech and Morpho Cage design. Essentially, this is a leather/polyurethane and lightweight mesh 'space frame' construction that's been designed to support pedaling motions with its ultra-stable and breathable composition. At the heel cup, Diadora designed the X Trail 2 to perfectly contain the rider's foot in its seat by armoring the delicate Achilles tendon with a two-part composition. For structural rigidity, the pre-molded thermoplastic polyurethane heel cup uses a firm composite around the back, with softer and more flexible plastics along the sides.
The closure system incorporates three separate straps that each performs specific retention functions. Across the forefoot, Diadora added its V-Fit hook-and-look strap, allowing you to easily control the volume over the forefoot. Moving up from that is the dual-ring 'Double Speedlace' strap. This is also a hook-and-loop strap, but you get two options for customizable midfoot retention. If your feet are narrow and you have a low arch, use the second ring. Do you have wide feet with a high instep? Take the first ring. In either case, you will be able to get a supportive and comfortable fit that matches your individual foot shape. At the top of the closure, Diadora added its reliable Four Points buckle closure. This durable buckle was manufactured with an aluminum chassis and a large release button that's attached to a strap with four different adjustment positions. Combined with the two lower straps, this EVA-backed top strap provides you with the ultimate customizable retention and support.
Diadora chose to mate the X Trail 2 upper to its Mountain sole. This nylon and glass composite platform keeps weight to a minimum, while maintaining a high level of rigidity for a direct transmission of power to the pedals. The outsole features a dual-density polyurethane Duratech tread that's actually been shaped in mimic of crampons. This sole also adopts Diadora's Multiped, to improve stability and facilitate clipping and unclipping from mountain pedals. Ultimately, this combination of shape and materials creates a tread that's durable, and just as importantly, effectively sheds mud. Hi-Vent insoles complete the X Trail 2 Shoes, giving you maximum support, ventilation, and comfort in all weather conditions.
The Diadora X Trail 2 Shoes are available in odd and even sizes from 38.0 to 48.0 and in the color Anthracite/white.
