As you can see there are two white lines on the shield on the right that represent the Middleton's association with skiing.

The thin white V's represent the mountains and hills; in particular the Lake District and the family's love of skiing.

That's pretty cool! If they wanted to represent skiing, shouldn't it be two squiggly lines going down? The way it is now, it looks like a very wide stance going uphill then a wide stance schussing downhill. Cool nonetheless.
