Distilled water is just that. It's purified via some sort of distillation device, i.e. the water is heated until it boils, the vapor is then condensed and collected resulting in pure H2O.

It's probably safe to drink in small quantities (not sure why you would want to), but I don't think it's that good for you. As I recall from college (Bio major), drinking distilled water in large quantities will cause cells in your body to become hypertonic, or have a higher osmotic pressure. The result is an inbalance in electrolytes, minerals and other nutrients; all bad things. Stick to spring water if tap scares you...

Distilled water tends to give you the runs, too, if I recall my high school biology as well as Greg remembers college.
It's only good for your car radiator, and not much else. You need the salt.

nice i have the joy of taking calculus next year  , thats cool you were a biology major, im thinking about that as being one of my majors, i like chemistry though too because of the combonation of math and science. Think im going to take AP biology in HS so i can get some done even before college, and save some money
oh ya on the note of distilled water, my dads friend got a distiller for christmas and he drinks all his water like that and he seems fine

Thise Commies will do anything to take our precious bodily fluids.

On the school issue, I started out as a bio major, 3 years in I decided there was a big world out there, so I went to see some of it. 10 years later, I have a degree in Finance. Go figure. What are you wanting to do, awf? Biotech and pharmaceuticals (unfortunately, generally non-recreational) are hot, and will continue to be.

I use it for blank samples that i send to the lab for analysis. It's not just for radiators.

Take this the way intened. You might look at sales or management. You get very active threads and get people thinking. Communication skills go along way. Keep posting.

I agree with Bob; I'm in sales management and the keys to doing well are good communication and relationship building skills. Austin, for a young guy you seem to mix in well with the diverse group here.

I was a pre-med in college but my major was English. Spent 2 years in med school before deciding I didn't want to be a doctor. Now I'm in sales and loving it.
