I took a quick tour up Doublehead to check out the goods. It was pretty tracked out, which means that there'll be a great base if they can get another few inches.

Nice! Thanks for the TR and backcountry stoke! I haven't been out on my skins yet. Waiting for the snowpack to increase. Last March, I did Doublehead as part of a Doublehead-Black Mountain doubleheader (pun intended). Doublehead in the morning then Black in the afternoon. The descent down was on almost solid hardpack and it was tricky skiing. I hope to hit that trail again in softer conditions.

Perfect place for a doubleheader. The tour is short enough to get a couple runs in before noon and then go just down the road for an afternoon pass.
