I've been here a few times before, mostly doing short stuff near the park and lake. It had been a number of years since I went to check out the single track south of 16 to the west of the Midstate Trail.

Don't bother! It has potential, it's one long rock garden for about 3 or 4 miles however the trails are completely unmaintained, there are lots of trails that are unmarked, missing blazes, and the trail map from the DCR is just about worthless. If you go, stick to the Midstate trail, which is decent biking, and to the Coffeehouse loop/Cedar swamp, also decent. Everything is pretty technical though. Stay off the Schmidt trail. Double track sandy gravely horribleness.

Ended up doing about 16 miles in the blazing sun yesterday.
