Not a fan of UN, but here is the story.

This is the third such incident I’ve read about in the last 2 days. One guy did a similar thing at Mammoth. Another at Purgatory IIRC. 😂

sometimes gps systems put you on work roads.

like if you type 'ski mountain' intead of 'ski mountain resort', the gps may think youre trying to summit the actual mountain. and people are stupid. my directions always wanna put me on top of sugarloaf.

or just drunk assholes tearing about base areas?

GPS mistake is unlikely here....
Guy is a local
Should make him pay "triple damages" or $135K

I hear you, but he did hit one of those annoying RFID gates that I hate. :ROFLMAO: The lifties must get sick of hearing that beeping sound. I bet it haunts some of them in their sleep.

LOL I have to admit I have been in a truck that rode on the snow at Sunday River. It was years ago. We went from Northpeak Base, up AP Road to Aroura and back. it was a spring night with frozen snow so no damage. Just a joy ride for kids in thier 20's.

When I hear something like this, my mind immediately jumps to Social Media Stunt.

In this case though, given it was, "early Sunday morning" (READ: Saturday night), I'm guessing Jack Daniels put him up to it.

I heard stories that once a Patnaude drove up Pats peak and made it halfway up cutting across the top of Knight trail to Hurricane and rolled his truck down it.
