Not a fan of UN, but here is the story.



This is the third such incident I’ve read about in the last 2 days. One guy did a similar thing at Mammoth. Another at Purgatory IIRC. 😂

sometimes gps systems put you on work roads.

like if you type 'ski mountain' intead of 'ski mountain resort', the gps may think youre trying to summit the actual mountain. and people are stupid. my directions always wanna put me on top of sugarloaf.

or just drunk assholes tearing about base areas?

LOL I have to admit I have been in a truck that rode on the snow at Sunday River. It was years ago. We went from Northpeak Base, up AP Road to Aroura and back. it was a spring night with frozen snow so no damage. Just a joy ride for kids in thier 20's.

When I hear something like this, my mind immediately jumps to Social Media Stunt.

In this case though, given it was, "early Sunday morning" (READ: Saturday night), I'm guessing Jack Daniels put him up to it.
