For tuning at Strand's.

That trip this time of year always puts me in a good mood. Don't even mind the driving rain or lines down call in the middle of the night...

My away message last night read:

"While visions of sugar runs danced in Marc's head..."

I pulled out the rest of my gear last night to make sure I knew where everything was. I need to drop of my skis for tuning next... :)

I really want to start doing my own, but there's just not any room in our 4 room apt. now that we have our daughter and all of her stuff.. I was just telling her last night how she took over Daddy's ski equipment room.. ;)

You guys are slackers. I picked up my skis last week. Clearly, you're not serious skiers.

Well yeah, I'd def. be the first to admit I'm not a serious skier.

I do very few things seriously... where's the fun in that??

:dunce:

The guys in Strands are pretty cool... I spent about 15 minutes arguing with some crazy old guy about why I wanted a 2 degree edge bevel on my Volkl's...

Although driving through that city in rush hour reminds me how much I enjoy not living there any more

I haven't been in that shop in pushing 20 years. I once bought a pair of Langes there. (Yellow Tii's) Funky place. It was like getting boot work done by ZZ Top.

My everyday skis are sitting on the living room floor at Killington still in the ski bag from an August Chile trip. I'll likely drag out something wide with 100+ days on them to do some fall poaching. The summer wax should help protect against the rocks.

HEH! Arguing...So much for the customer is always right. Those guys offer good pricing on lots of their gear...and that ski tuning machine they have is awesome...but that attitude is hard to swallow sometimes.

They always tell my pal that his Atomic skis are "one-year" skis. Pal responds..."which year?"

Definitely a ZZ Top look goin on there.
