Pretty bad summer. Red flag warning for tomorrow. It's only rained like 5 times in the last 3 months and there's nothing in the 15 day forecast except for a couple of showers from Ophelia. Maybe it'll hold off until it gets cold and then it lets loose in time for the snow.

I really can't remember the last time it rained in eastern LI. I think we had one day it rained in the last 30. Great sun and cool weather though its hard not to love it.

In Central Vt, we have had a beautiful summer. Most weekends had nice weather with rain happening at night or midweek- 4th of July perfect. We are on track for rain. One note: this is the first year in a long time that the lawns have not turned brown. Everything is lush and green and my lawn still needs mowing at least weekly. Overall, pretty durned good summer in the weather department.

Very dry here in LI. I haven't cut my grass in nearly three weeks. I don't want to kill it totally (I don't have sprinklers) by cutting it. The real concern is FIRE. We have had some nasty fires over the years from STUPID PEOPLE TOSSING BUTTS OUT OF THEIR PRECIOUS CARS instead of using their ash trays!
