An interesting article, but I wish they wouldn't be so casual in blaming global warming for everything. It might be, but don't forget that Europe was locked in an ice box for most of last winter. If we start saying that global warming causes every little warming trend then what's to stop people from saying, "Wow, it's really cold. Maybe global warming is all a crock."

Three years ago we had a really cold stretch in January. I had a lot of people say the same thing to me. "So much for global warming, eh?"

I do believe that global warming is likely to cause changes, and unpleasant ones at that, to those of us who love to ski. But in the short term, factors like El Niño and the NAO are what's driving our weather.
