KILLINGTON, Vermont -- Killington Resort welcomes SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer for a weekend of family entertainment at the Nickelodeon and Killington Winterfest December 9-10.
Nickelodeon and Killington Winterfest will take place in and around the Ramshead Lodge and feature live entertainment Saturday afternoon from "The Dirty Sock Funtime Band*," which has appeared on NOGGIN's hit series, Jack's Big Music Show. The Dirty Sock Funtime Band is a multi-genre, high-energy kids' band - with reviews that have labeled them, the "First Real Rock Band for Kids" (FOX NEWS) and "The most exciting and innovative children's music EVER!" (MTV XM Radio). A Dirty Socks concert consists of music, dance and overall clowning around which encourages full audience participation.
Plus, SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer costume character appearances and even a Jelly Fish family relay race with the popular characters, magic shows, karaoke, "Find Dora's Friends Game" and Sing-a-Longs. Nickelodeon movies will also be screened on Sunday.
"Skiing and snowboarding are such great kid's activities and partnering with Nickelodeon will expand the many family opportunities here at Killington Resort," said Dave Rathbun, vice president of Brand Management for Killington Resort. "It also provides a great opportunity to get kids excited about winter."

9:00 a.m. - Meet SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer as they make their grand entrance at Ramshead Lodge and pose for pictures.
11:30 a.m. - Enjoy lunch with SpongeBob and Dora
12:30 p.m. - Karaoke and the Jelly Fish Race
2:00 p.m. - Magician Tom Joyce performs
3:00 p.m. - "The Dirty Sock Funtime Band*" performs at Ramshead, plus a free ice cream party during the show for all guests.
Sunday:

SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer return to Killington Jan. 26 through February 4 with the Kids Rule Adventure Week, presented by Nickelodeon. The Kids Rule Adventure Week will feature live entertainment from "Hot Peas N' Butter" on Saturday, Feb. 3, and SpongeBob and Dora costume character appearances and a variety of games and activities throughout the week.
Nickelodeon has also teamed up with Killington and Rossignol to make skiing and snowboarding extra exciting for kids with exclusive Dora the Explorer skis, SpongeBob SquarePants skis and snowboards and a full line of accessories featuring both popular Nickelodeon characters. Designed to make skiing and snowboarding more engaging for young beginners, they are only available for rent or for sale at Killington Sports and Killington Outfitters.
This season Killington Resort has expanded family activities, including the new Snowshed Adventure Center and outdoor Snow Action Park? including a four-lane lift-served tubing hill, Snowdeck, rail and box park; and the indoor Kids' Zone featuring arcade games, inflatable bounce houses, golf simulators, billiards and climbing wall. In addition Benedetto's Bistro will offer a full family fare menu at the Snowshed Lodge.
The new Activities Desk at the Snowshed Lodge will also serve as your one-stop-shop for all off-mountain adventures available in the Killington Region.
