I know on closing day April 1st...aka Gaper Fools day at Blue mountain..I consumed at least 8 beers, a shot of Jager, and Champagne while skiing and all I ate was a soft pretzal, some cheeze-itz, and pierogies..

I don't recoommend skiing drunk..though

My ski day food actually begins the night before....I prefer a pasta dish or pizza.
In the morning, I'll either do some oatmeal (I'm a junkie for this stuff all year long) or eggs and potatos. OJ and coffee go along with either choice.
I always stop for lunch, always a brown-bagger.Typically turkey sandwhich, pretzels, loads of water or Gatoraide, and an apple of the Granny Smith variety.
There are few pleasures that rate as high as that from that first cold beer after the skiing day is done.

I notice that when I'm on ski trips..I eat an awful lot after skiing. At Jackson Hole I'll eat a couple slices of pizza and some Guinness or local beer at the Village Cafe then take the bus back into town..then have some sort of hors d'oueves in the room..then hit up Bubbas BBQ or something...

At Stowe..I like to hit up Pie-Casso and the Shed..and the Sunset Grille is also great..I try to stay on the Mountain Road so I'm staggering distance from a good pub. I also like how you can buy single beers at mini-marts in VT.

When I go night skiing after work at Blue mountain..I sometimes order curbside take-out from Outback or Applebees...or order a pizza or Chinese food because it's less effort than going to the grocery store and cooking. I know exactly what spot on the road to call for take-out so it's ready right when I arrive...

I'm not picky about what I eat during the day but if I'm at Sugarloaf I have to have a bag burger and a couple brown bag ales.

Is there a place in the world (besides Utah, maybe) that you can't buy a single beer at a mini mart? (Utah, Single beer, Poligamy Porter: There's a joke in there, I just can't formulate it now.)

Single beer, heck I was surprised when we stopped for beer in Santa Fe and they sold single cigarettes.

Before I totally hijack this thread into oblivion:

Breakfast: Toasted Cheddar Jalepeno Bagel with Bacon Horseraddish Cream chese (Elm City Bagels, Keene, Na Hampshah.)

Lunch: Chorizo on the grill or maybe Bratworst with Green Chile.

Dinner: Moo, Oink or Bahhh.

My body always craves red meat after skiing, so it's generally a buger (perferably with bacon) and lots of muscle relaxing beer.

I recall purchasing single beers at stores in Utah.
The shop was at the base of snowbird, so they may have different licensing than a mini-mart.

Lunch - Chili w/water. Have to sample chili at most mountains I go to. None are great, many are decent.

Apres - Whatever I can get my hands on food-wise and a beer or two doesn't hurt either.

before: a muffin
during: anything under 5 dollars at the lounge that can fill me up, and lots of beer on the lifts if im gonna be doing the terrain park (I can do that cuz bear mountain in socal puts trash barrels under the detachable quads so you can throw away your trash while moving!)
after: Doesn't matter, a fulfilling meal, and if it is the last day of a trip, usually a steak

They have the trash barrels at Camelback too.

Breakfast: Sausage supreme omelet, chocolate frosted donut and coffee from Dunkin Donuts while driving the the ski area.

Lunch: Cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, chocolate pudding or other greasy goodness in the lodge.

Breakfast: Bagel
Lunch: 2 PB sandwiches
Dinner: whatever

I ate the exact same lunch every day I've skied for the past 6 years or so with the only exception being my 3 days at Steamboat this past year.
