I got my first official 08/09 Ski Porn in the mail today in the form of SKIING and POWDER!! That's a little earlier than I was expecting. It was such a pleasant surprise!

I have a feeling anyone under 30 may never appreciate the excitement of getting ski magazines in the mail because they've been brought up getting all their info on the internet. That's a real shame!

I guess I will consider today my FIRST UNOFFICIAL DAY OF THE 80/09 SEASON!!! Let the page flipping/drooling/day dreaming begin!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm under 30 and throughout middle school and high school I subscribed to Powder, Ski, Skiing and Snow Country magazines. I also hit up the annual Philly ski show for a glimpse at Tommy Moe and to get a ton of brochures and stickers. I still have quite a few early 90s ski mags..I like looking at the old ads for the new 1993 Ford Explorer or cap skis. But now I don't have much use for ski magazines..although I sometimes read them at Borders.

My favorite issue was always the October Travel issue..

btw Noonan..nice Avatar..

I went to borders to pick up the skiing and ski gear guides... I already had the freeskier one....
I just need to pick up the powder one now and I'll be happy...lol

I find it odd that all three rank the skis differently.... You can definitely see where their devotions lie and don't...
