Hopefully for the sake of spring a net gain as things thin in places. Front 5 is thin as hell.

Updated map shows upto 6" at cannon, not sure it is going to help zoomer but possibly get some trees up top skiable again.

Jay bullseye as usual.

Damn today is my Monday at work. The last couple weeks have not worked out that well. Next week m-w looks similar.

I will say the skiable surface yesterday was decent though the groomers did their thing quite well.

That's only the first day, front tries to drift North on Sunday while plenty of moisture still around. And given the setup, don't think anyone has this nailed down as to what it will do and where. Best bet is further North and East you can get. Jay might work out, but being West a bit could hurt.

Ya, I think I'll go to Sugarloaf Saturday. It's a long drive but I'm not sure how many more days I'm gonna have in the East.

With Jay Peak getting as much as they have this year, they'll be skiing there deep into April unless there's a really bad rain/blowtorch/fog stretch.

Hoping for an Easter week trip.... otherwise we're pretty much done down here in NY Metro. Spring came on quick.

The last 3 days cost us about 12.5% of our snowpack, which sucks, but we're supposed to get about 10" in the next 5'ish days. I think we dodged the worst of what could have been from this unusual heat spell.

Same in Colorado. 10-inches on the stake at Winter Park this morning. April always provides some surprises out there. One of the best 2 months of the season (March and April).

We've never skied Breckenridge, but we're thinking of coming out there for Park City school break PC starts closing some lifts around then and I have to imagine the snow will be better at 11k to 13k feet than 8k to 10k feet. Might as well crowd other people's hometown EPIC resorts and return the favor! And I'm kind of shocked how cheap the spring lodging is there. Not sure how the snow conditions will be mid-April, but any skiing is good skiing & we'll hope for a storm.

We may do a day or 2 at Vail on the way over because I think my 5 year old would love China Bowl and Blue Sky Basin (if that's still open). We don't really have intermediate bowl skiing in Park City, it's all expert.

Do it and enjoy. Drive through Price down 6, About 5 to Glenwood Springs + an hour give or take over to Vail - another 40 to Breck.
