I remember that guy from being a regular in a bunch of Warren Miller movies back when they were actually good.

Pretty much invented the way they ski super steep slopes now...

No real details but I suspect he had a real bad drinking problem so wondering if this was a detox sorta thing. Either way sad, what a skier he was!

I found out this weekend that he began his sking life here at Sugarbush skiing at the Green Mountain Valley School before making the Olympic team. He was known to rip it up free skiing with the local crew. Several of my friends here used to ski with him. He was a legend. I Never knew that and only knew him from the appearances on the ski videos like TGR and Warren Miller.

Yep, a fellow GMVS grad like myself. He was '88 and boy could he ski.
