That reminds me, how many pairs of gloves does everyone regular use? I've realized over the past ten years that I've used only one pair of gloves during the entire season (e.g., no spring gloves).

I'm down to two pair, one for the bulk of the winter (Kinco leather ski gloves) and another for the warmer days. I was turned onto the Kinco's by a fellow Patroller and will probably never turn back. #1, they're cheap, like $25 or less a pair, #2, they're all leather and will withstand some abuse (I patrol with them and am regularly pulling ropes and various around the mountain kinds of tasks), and #3 they're super warm, keeping my hands completely warm on a recent 0-10 degree type trip to Stowe. I just sealed them up with some old fashion snow seal and they're plain awesome with a great value proposition. No more $100 gloves for me!

+1 on the Kincos. I got mine for $15 +$5 for a tub of Mink Oil, and they are the BEST ski gloves I've ever owned.
