Fortunately the cabin had just departed from the base terminal and was only a few feet off the ground. The pictures in LiftBlog are pretty crazy. The hanger arm just snapped.

Only updates I’ve seen was some skier posting on Reddit who was stranded a couple towers uphill from the base. They posted it took 6 hours to finally be rope-evac’d. And it sounds like at least the cabins over the Grizzly bear den had to be heli-evac’d. They were offered a complimentary day to return.

Not the first time it’s been heli-evac’d. I remember seeing this decade old video around when it was originally posted:

That movie was TERRIBLE. My wife forced me to watch it and it SUCKED. It was supposed to be set in New Hampshire and was filmed at Snowbasin!
