Just wanted to call attention to some good news about women's ski jumping.

As many of you know, ski jumping is the only Olympic sport that doesn't allow women to compete. But last week the Internatioinal Federation of Skiing voted to add an individual event in the 2009 World Championships in Liberec, Czech Republic -- a necessary step to gaining Olympic status. These are hard working, extremely talented women who deserve to compete. Glad they may finally get their chance!

Great News Ski Diva.

...and good luck with the move.

So, now that you are moving to VT....will you remain an Eagles/76'ers/Phillies fan....OR, will you convert?

Thanks! And no, I'm not a fan -- of any team, in any sport.

Only skiing.

I was hoping to find WHY they remained this long to be men only, but their

link was still under construction. Does anybody know why?

I think the initial feeling was that there weren't enough competitors to generate interest in the sport. But according to CBS News. it now has more than women's bobsled and skeleton had when they were added to the Olympics in 2002. So maybe things have changed.
