WOW!!! Now thats what I'm talkin' about. What trails are those pic's of???

Can't exactly be sure since it's not my TR and I'm sure they won't just tell everyone. One looks like it might be Eden but it's hard to say. I do agree with the comment about Ellen seeming like they've got more snow than LP right now. I just wish I had gone over there before 1:30 on Sunday

Sugarbush conditions were outstanding Sat and Sunday - looks like it's onnly getting better with the current weather pattern.

Yea, way more snow up there now. At the resort, J was hammered, but off piste snow is deeper up there without question. I think Sugarbush is a better Mtn as far as skiable vert, but the lines off the summit at J have no equal at sugarbush. I'd rather be on Mansfield over either of the two, but when it's great everywhere, go where you know, right?

:daffy: I'd wait till after tonight to make the decision... but conditions pending I'd take Jay all the way :daffy:

I haven't skied Jay yet this year (been at the Bush) but everything I've heard from people who've skied both has indicated that the Bush is way better right now.

Have you considered Burke? Since this is a holiday weekend and with the big snow coming, the masses will be out this weekend. Burke is relatively unknown, so crowds will be smaller there. They have great woods runs too. I was there this past weekend and it was fantastic.
But, if Burke is not on the radar, definately Sugarbush. Great place.

I'm definately skiing Smuggs on Sunday. Its going to be Jay or Sugarbush on Sat. Probably a last minute decision. Problems I love having.

MRV seems to have been the big winner in this event.

Sugarbush reporting 48" at the summit, 39" at the base.

Perfect set up for my trip there the first week of March.

Yeah, and that's a conservative report. There's more like 42-44 at the base, and probably 50-56" at the summit. Incredible! Yesterday was a blast!

I take a PSIA tree/steeps clinic every other year at MRG to re-up my certification.

The last 4 times I've had uncanny snow luck and the same set-up is happening again...a big storm about 3 weeks before, then 1-2 feet the 2 days of the clinic.

I'll have 5 days and plan to hit Sugarbush too...a guide in the woods would be nice if anyone wants to volunteer.

Indeed the Mad River Valley made out really well. The snow was so high by the front door at work, I had to lean over, lay down on it and roll over it to get to the door. Still not plowed out. Check the cam www.madrivervalley.com You can see the Tourist Information Plaza nearly buried. There's plenty for everyone, come on up/down!

Really wind hammered. Deepest snow I've ever skiied in the trees. I'm gonna go huck off shit on my XC skis now.
