279k for that..:-o. Welll I guess it's the location...which is very nice...but would have to scan the mileage to potential elevation.
Have to admit, liked his stuff...especially with Scot Schmidt and Glen Plake(top 2 guys!!), but, imho, when he would narrate...came across as spokesperson for the elitest = lots of guys, who ski in the NE, could ski the stuff in the West that he burned onto film....

Our own Terry here on the forums is ski buddies with Wile E Coyote who skied in some of Greg Stumps films.

40 minutes to both Jackson and Jackson Hole. Considering how expensive real estate is in Jackson and the surrounding areas, that's not a terrible deal.

I also ski with Bruce "Boogie" Cole who was Stumpy's freestyle coach when Greg won the nationals. Love hearing all the stories about the freestyle era at Pleasant Mt.

I actually looked at this place (ended up buying a joint closer to the pass). Very cool "history" but in all actuality a relatively crappy house in terms of construction.

Victor though is a diamond in the rough. Stumps place would be a million plus 20 miles to the East.

Even though some technique specifics will differ as ski design differs, ...will those steep turn sequences in 'Blizzard' ever get old...JimG???? I can watch that stuff forever...especially in the off-season!:-D

*HA!..good info skiNEwhere/AdironRider...forget my bogus ranting...40min to JHole:roll:(OMG)....the land is worth it...just rebuild if the design isn't perfect. Shows how much I know about Idaho...and there are two terrific rainbow/brown trout spring creeks out there, Silver Creek and Henry's Fork(of the Snake R.).
God..I've gotta get out West and check out the various states and mountains before I kill myself with all the crazy antics I get injured by around the house.

Would it have killed them to post a few extra photos so we can get a better sense of the house?

In my experience Stumpy is quite a character. Our interview:

I really agree with this part:

Any newer ski production companies whose work you like? Meathead, Steep or Dogtown?
I like them all. Nothing really moves me like the films i loved as a kid… Barrymore, Warren, Joe Jay Jalbert. The athleticism of today’s stuff is unreal and the camerawork is so great these days, but no story or sexiness, so I don’t know. I kind of get bored watching just skiing. I need some “secret life of sleeping bags” or something. Don’t get me wrong, the skiing and filming is way beyond anything I ever did… so kudos to the new.

Like this - this is not your typical ski movie.

Just watched License to Thrill. It must have been on my Netflix queue for a year and a half but just came now. My wife says, "you can watch you're . . . "wrestling" movie while I take a nap". I look at her "wrestling"? She doesn't understand and just says "whatever".

Ya know for a ski movie done in 1989 with super skinny 200+cm skis it was thrilling to watch. I mean the biggest jumps were double daffies and mule kicks but it was a lot of fun to watch and I really related more to this movie than a lot of the latest stuff with the massive mountains in Alaska or urban rail riding. The mogul bits were fantastic. A lot of skiing mank and super wind blown - mostly in bounds. Only one helicopter scene. A mention was made of what in bounds and out of bounds even meant. It was fun.
