No pics as it was snowing so hard all day I didn't want to trash my phone taking it out of my pocket.

Arrived this morning to 5-6 inches at the base and it absolutely nuking. By the time I left they were reporting 14" and they definitely got every bit of that. The place was fairly empty with all lifts ski on all day. Rode the lift with more than a couple of people who were heading to either Loon or Cannon and aborted the trip for Gunstock as apparently travel was at about 35-40 mph on 93 and they were eager to get on the snow. While obviously not offering the same caliber terrain as Cannon or Loon, they were certainly not disappointed with the skiing at Gunstock today.

1.5 seasons into being a passholder at Gunstock, this was the day I had been hoping for; the place wide open with a deep base. It was fantastic. Never skied Recoil Glades before or Hot Shot and both delivered the goods, except Hot Shot could definitely use some manicuring as the pucker brush was out of control. Paralax and Gun Powder glades skied amazing, pow bumps on Red Hat were great. Overall a top 5 day for me over the past couple of seasons with so little traffic and deep turns to be had with every run.

From the reports I've read, it would appear that Gunstock was in the bullseye for today's storm. Making things even better for me is that I didn't really look at the weather this morning. When I left my home on the NH seacoast it was barely snowing. I certainly wasn't expecting the massive powder harvest I got today.

I was in Gilford getting karma points by cleaning up Mom's driveway. At 10am when I ran the snow blower there was easily 8" on the ground and it was still dumping. When I sent texts to my friends skiing Vermont they said they were in a heavy 1" of snow. This morning on the radio I heard the snow totals and the Lakes Region was definitely 1 if not the only place to be. Congrats on absolutely nailing the location to be in for this storm. You lucky bastid!

DHS, Gunstock can be real fun with a dump occurring and nobody there. You hit it perfect. Did you get into the Upper Recoil Glades, small entrance is up top on Recoil or only Middle Recoil Glades, entrance after Recoil where it gets flat? Love the Upper Section I hope you hit that.
Hot Shot is a blast on a powder day I haven't done it yet this year, gotta time a storm the way you did soon.
Days like you described makes that cheap pass seem like even a better deal.

Excellent report.....how were Cannonball and Tiger steeps? I've hot those on a powder night and they were great as prob the steepest on the mtn (albeit short)
Does the Tiger liftline ever get skied on powder days by the way? Last wknd when I was up there at night I saw some tracks but unsure if it's an official trail or if patrol minds you in there?

Pretty amazing the differences in snow totals out of this storm....per SKINH.com Gunstock checked in with 14" while the next highest total was 9" (Pats)
Even Ragged which is not that far (by way of the crow) only reported 3".....nice score getting it Ryan!

HD - recoil from the top for the win. I think it may have been roped off to start the day....maybe ;)

Upper tiger was a lot of fun , especially skiers right under the chair. A cpl people were skiing its lift line but I didn't bother as the skiing was so good everywhere else.

Just arrived at pats peak. Hurricane time!!
