Trip Report: Well I cannot sleep, so I thought I would come and post my review of Gunstock from yesterday morning. I arrived at Gunstock at 8:00am to ensure that I would have first tracks yesterday morning. It was very warm about 45+ on the base as I was waiting for the Summit Quad to open up. By 8:30 the chair was open and moving, and I had the luck of being chair number 2! Since I was skiing only the morning, I had to really make use of my time and enjoy the snow before it got really crowded. I started off on Recoil, which I had first tracks on. Nice coverage, wall to wall cord and just smooth as silk riding. Next, I hit up trigger, which was just like Recoil. Made my way over to Stonebar via Flintrock, as the crowds started to build a little bit. Took the tiger triple up to ski Tiger and then made my way back over to the Summit Chair again. But this time, the snow was pushed around more so and loosened up. After a few runs on Pistol and a couple more summit trips I called it a morning. All in all a great day on the slopes, and always a pleasure to ski gunstock.
